2-week daughter constantly crying!?

My 2-week old daughter is constantly crying!!! My husband and I can never have enough sleep…whenever she "seems" to be quiet & calm, we try to go to sleep and she starts crying hysterically again! She needs to be held constantly and have a boob in her tiny little mouth. I
need some time to clean our apartment and make meals…even my husband has gotten some time off from work to help me with the baby. I cannot constantly be holding & cradling her! She’s only quiet if she’s in my or my husband’s arms. It’s like she’s saying "CARRY ME, PICK ME UP, HOLD ME" all the time! Please…is there any advice to calm her down & put her in her little bassinet or swing/bouncer?

1-month old screams at night?

My daughter is put to sleep in her bassinet at about 7:30-8:00 p.m. each night in mine and my hubby’s master bedroom (we have a 1-bedroom apt. but we’re looking for a 2-bedroom condo). We don’t go to sleep at
7 or 8 pm when she goes to bed. We go to sleep later…like at about 11 PM.

She’s all taken care of and seems to be fine–just a little pouting after she’s fed–thats all. I change her diaper, feed her, wash her, clean her hair, put her in her jammies, etc. etc. She just pouts and kicks–that’s all. Then we take her for a little drive around the city(Los Angeles) and she also seems to be fine…

We put her in her bassinet in our bedroom and leave the lights on a little (she likes it that way). Then, in about in hour, she wakes up SCREAMING and kicking with her arms and legs…we swaddled her up and somehow got out of the little "taco" with her screaming and kicking. I pick her up and cradle her but she’s shaking a lot and screaming! Would she have a bad dream? I don’t know…PLEASE HELP!!
kk & kyky’s mom, you should really mind your business, okay? It would be nice to get some HELP rather than CRITICIZING me! :p

What's the best place for a baby to sleep?

I am due on Oct. 4 and we are scheduled to move on Oct. 15. We are trying to decide where our baby should sleep for the week or two (or three) that we’ll be in our apt. without a crib (we plan to set up the crib in the nursery and move baby there as soon as we move). Our options are:

1. Buy a new Graco Pack ‘n Play with Bassinet for around

http://www.amazon.com/Graco-Playard-Bassinet-Tango-Tongo/dp/B000WIEGY6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1252343485&sr=8-1

We’d be able to use the playpen after we move and no longer need a bassinet, but hadn’t planned on getting one originally and this is the most expensive option.

2. Buy a used cradle off of Craigslist for around
similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/DaVinci-Futura-Cradle-in-Cherry/dp/B000FTD1PM/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1253206461&sr=1-4
We would only use this for the first month or so then move baby to crib permanently.

3. Use a borrowed infant sleeper bed and put it in the bed with us.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00012CHFI/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000GEN5IE&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1EN39P65SB01FWBWX84H

We didn’t really want the baby in the bed with us, but since it’s only for a short time that we’ll need a bassinet, this might be the most cost effective.

Which option sounds the best, or do you have any other ideas? We don’t want to spend any more than we have to since we only need a bassinet for a short time and we really want to keep baby in her crib once we move – if it’s not too hard on me :) !

With your 2nd child, when did you set up baby items around the house (before baby comes)?

I’m 35 weeks pregnant and wanting to get the cradle, swing, and pack&play bassinet ready around the house, but this time around, I have a 3 year old who thinks that every baby item is a toy for her and her dolls. With my first pregnancy, I obviously didn’t have this problem. Just wondering with your 2nd child, when you got things ready around the house. I don’t want to wait until the baby comes home from the hospital b/c some of the items are in the attic and need to be washed/cleaned off. And I just like to be prepared.

need somthing (furniture) in living room for newborn?

Hi,

I’ve got a 2nd boy a few weeks ago. He has a crib in his room; though, he doesn’t have any furniture to lay down on the 1st floor. My family has a cat & a very active 3-1/2 years old boy, so I don’t want to put my baby on floor/carpet.

What do you recommend for us to buy?
*Bassinet
*Bouncer
*Cradle
*Portable Crib
