When you bring your baby home where is he/she sleeping?

Are you putting them into a crib right away in there own room? Are they sleeping in bed with you and dad? In your room in a cradle or bassinet? Just curious. Our little guy is going to sleep in our room in a cradle for the first few weeks then he will go in his own room in a crib. We didn’t let our daughter sleep in bed with us so we aren’t going to with this one either. Our daughter is 2.5 and she slept right in a crib when we brought her home, but she was in our room due to living arrangements when she was born. But once we got moved into our house she had her own room as well. So I’m just curious how everyone else does it. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Searched a lot on internet, and Yahoo! Answers is my last refuge.

I am looking for a baby crib/bassinet/cradle. I don’t know if I can explain it properly, but I’ll try. This one has a metallic frame in shape of "A" folded at the middle (horizontally) at about 30 degrees. The "v" becomes the base stand, while a cloth/sheet fits over the other open end. The baby can be made to lie on this sheet. When given a slight tweak, the unit rocks where it is bent (like a hinge).

I saw this few years ago in some magazine. Wish if someone could point me someone on the internet where I can get one.

I just want to know till how many months i can use the bassinet or the cradle for the baby. I also want to know how useful it is and if the baby really feels comfy and sleeps in it!

This is the first time that i am going to get one. So also plz tell me if there is a difference between the bassinet and the cradle and which suits the baby best to sleep and i sure am not going to put the baby in a different room. i prefer keeping the baby in the same room. So that i can sleep & yet take care of the baby while my baby sleeps in the bassinet or cradle. Plz suggest me which would be the best and for how many months i can put the baby to sleep in it. Thanks!
